Torq vs Swimlane: Which One Fits Your Hyperautomation Stack?

Torq and Swimlane both automate security operations and both put agentic investigation on case records. Torq’s SOC page prints 300+ security tools and names HyperAgents, Socrates, and case creation with observables, enrichment, and a timeline. Swimlane’s February 18, 2026 AI SOC announcement names an Investigation and Response Agent and a Playbook Generator Agent on Turbine, and it says the platform is powered by thousands of integrations. A measured timing figure comparing Torq with Swimlane was not found in this research.

Torq’s knowledge base documents workspace RBAC: Viewer, Operator, Creator, Contributor, Owner, and Interact Only, plus Cases Viewer, Workspace Viewer, Cases Analyst, and Cases Contributor when case management is on. Swimlane’s cloud page documents RBAC on workspaces, dashboards, reports, applications, records, individual records, and fields, and it says Turbine can run in the cloud, on-premises, or air-gapped. The comment names Swimlane beside Demisto as a SOAR system. It does not name Torq. Torq’s current SOC page describes Hyperautomation, HyperAgents, and Socrates on top of case creation. Swimlane’s February 2026 announcement describes AI SOC agents on Turbine case management. The 2020 comment is a category label, not a timing result.

Documented access controls

Interact Only is limited to Torq Interact. Case workspaces add Cases Viewer, Workspace Viewer, Cases Analyst, and Cases Contributor.	The cloud page does not print that same role ladder. The cloud page prints 25 million actions executed per day, 1 day to be up and running, and cloud accounts provisioned in seconds. It also prints a 10x automation claim against other SecOps platforms without a method. This page does not treat that claim as a win over Torq.

Use the deploy row when the requirement is a private network. Swimlane documents an air-gapped Turbine install that does not call out to the internet for the install bundle at runtime. Torq documents self-hosted runners for private resources whose hosts still reach Torq cloud. The rows above are the deploy controls those pages print.

Torq and Swimlane both document agentic investigation, case records, and role checks. Torq prints the role ladder and cloud-connected Step Runners. Swimlane prints object-level RBAC and an air-gapped install. A measured Torq-versus-Swimlane timing figure was not found in this research.
